The Franklin mine is a zinc mine known for its unique display of fluorescent minerals (rhinestones) and variety of rare species. They have thousands of mineral samples on display with a large fluorescent mineral display of bright colors and shining.
The Museum also has demonstrations and examples of extraction methods used during that period of operation. Although the main focus is the science of minerals, geology, mining history local, they also cover the science of archeology and anthropology to the field collection and identification of minerals.
