what kind of paint will stick to stanless steel?
None will stick very long if you don’t use an etching or wash primer first. You can abrade the steel by sanding, wire wheel or sand blaster, but priming is the best way to prepare stainless for painting. There are many etching primers on the market. After priming any good alkyd or acrylic enamel will work just fine.
