How do I remove a box that has popped up on my monitor when it will not allow me to click on it.?
the box is approx. 3 inch square. it is turquoise colored and has a Dark Blue box in the center. inside the box are pictures of a lightbulb, 3 computer monitors with arrows drawn up and down through the center of each, a pen, the earth, the word OSD with red arrows , a squiggley line, inside the dark blue box it says, ” White Balance – 9300 -6500 User Auto Brig Dsp1 Dsp2 Dssc Ver: 1.03GYA Factory” A couple of years ago the same box popped up, the size of the box was bigger and it was right in the middle of my screen, I pulled the plug on my monitor again and again and eventually the box disappeared. This time it came up in the lower left hand corner and it is a smaller box. I cannot click on it with the cursor, it disappears under it. I would sure appreciate any suggestions. I tried the tactics I used the last time it popped up but this time it hasn’t worked. What is it and why did it pop up? Thank you so much.
That’s an On Screen Display. Clicking has no effect on it because it’s produced by the monitor itself, not the computer. Generally, one of the real buttons on the monitor should turn it off.
