My mom’s friend was shopping at a thrift store when he came across a bag. The “bag” ( more like a pouch) looks like it came from a war. On the top of the bag there are letters that say ON-M80. There is a flap that covers the top. The pouch is a tan color with a leather border and metal straps. The flaps that cover the pockets are fastened with a belt like design. We found a small brush and a tool that looks like a multifunctional screwdriver. If you know when this bag came from and what it is please tell me!

It could be a gas mask carrier. During the war years, people had to carry gas masks with them and the masks fit into pouches that sound much like what You Are describing.
