Why won’t my Fountain Pen write?

I’m using a Monteverde Invincia Rose Gold Fountain pen and I just loaded a new black cartridge into it. I’ve been dousing the nib with water and alcohol for like two hours now and it still won’t write! The chamber has been pierced and is secured, and ink comes out of the cartridge, but it seems that it doesn’t reach the nib.

NOt an expert either, I might soak it in some solvent or cleaning solution. It sounds like it is plugged in there nib. You might try a pin there if it will go down there.
