How to introduce two male guinea pigs?

I saved two male guinea pigs from a small animal rescue, who were supposedly housed together previously (but not in a loving, caring home). The second they got to my house, they started to quarrel and act really aggressive toward each other. I separated them into different cages, but I have a lot of cages already (as my 2 BR apartment is a mini-permanent rescue) and I really would like to put them together. I let them play on the floor on neutral territory, and they still rumble at each other and nudge each other violently with their noses, squabble over my attention, etc. Any tips/hints/ideas? I have a huge cage just waiting to be occupied by two piggies. Thanks in advance.

rub the piggies into each other bedding.they will leave some smell on it.do it daily .the piggies will soon get use to the other piggy smell.
