Sticky Bolt Mosin Nagant 91/30?
I just bought and shot a 1942 (all serial numbers matching / refurbished) Mosin Nagant 91/30. I had the headspace checked by gunsmith shop before I bought it and after about 15 minutes., Said the head space was fine. In the end, which dismissed 20 rounds of 7.62x54R caliber bullets and the last around 4-5 rounds gave me a Sticky Bolt on my rifle. The bolt was very difficult to open and needed a good slap. Ammunition bronze was using was new shopping centers, non-corrosive, coated non-lacquer/oil, ammunition, manufactured by PRVI Partizan of Serbia. Since the headspace and ammunition the gun is good, what could be causing this problem? My most likely cause would be no cosmoline in the chamber or breech face of the rifle that I missed, if While cleaning. Another possible cause is that you can have a strawberry on the inside of the camera. What you do think and what do you recommend? Thank you.
Each Mosin Nagant ago this has heard of the slap Mosin? Well you have now! It has done well, if you have to blow the bolt handle to get it unlocked after cooking. Everybody's doing it! Unless you have a Finn Mosin. Finn gets to work and usually do not require a blow. Was the rifle to get warm or hot, even when started paste? That is to blame 9 out of 10 times. Make sure the burrs cosmoline too, but usually a hot Mosin sticky is on.
