what’s the differences between the finishes of the titleist vokey design wedes?

So there’s chrome, black nickel, and oil can. Is there really a difference between the three finishes? Also, I’ve met some players that prefer when their chrome wedges build rust all over the club head…Why is that?

chrome holds up for life if you take care of your clubs, it can blind you when the sun hits it just right. glare can be a distraction to take your mind off of your shot or pre-shot routine. oil and black or satten all look great new but will look older sooner than later. reduced glair is the main objective but these clubs rust. and yes a little rusty texture on the face of your club will get you a bit more bite (spin) but your ball selection is the real key to the abuility to get your wedges to stick on the green. a Soft Ball will spin with any wedge you choose . if you go to a non chrome finnish like the oil can. i like to just keep the grooves clean with a brush and water and i keep a soft piece of steel wool around with a light coat of baby oil for the back of the club to keep them looking sharp. i like my things to match but sometimes having a chrome pitching wedge a black 52gap an oil can 56 and maybe a satten 60lob to keep them identified with a glance can keep your mind on your shot rather than diggin threw the bag trying to find a club. i would not buy a black 56 as the sand can act as sandpaper and take your finnish down fast. good luck and good shopping you cant go wrong in my book.
