Does anyone else see a problem with Star Trek’s alternate reality storyline?

Now I don’t pretend to be a trekkie or trekker but the alternate reality story line really didn’t make sense in the new Star Trek. If old spock (Leonard Nimoy) came through the black whole when young spock (Zachary Quinto) was young then wouldn’t that have always been the case. In old Spock’s reality, when he was young, Vulcan wasn’t destroyed and Captain Kirk’s father wasn’t killed. How then could this be the case in the young Spock’s life. Or when old Spock and Nero went through the blackhole, was young Spock’s reality really completely different? Was it the same reality just 25 years earlier or was it actually different?

No you go back just once and then you separate reality from the time You Are in the past. Thats why its the theory of alternate reality, or else it would be a confusing time loop,like a neverending circle.
