Does a black cross/crucifix represent anything bad?

I love collecting cross/crucifix necklaces, in different styles and I have several black ones, that are really beautiful and I was just wondering if they represent anything that’s not good, if so, I certainly don’t want to own them, much less, wear them.
Iv’e had at least three people, ask me why I would wear a black cross/crucifix, as if it’s something bad. I asked them why do they ask me that and none of them responded, they just gave me a crazy look.

People love to read stuff into everything. Black is always a bad color in a lot of things. However, a black crucifix is perfectly fine. It still shows Christ on the cross suffering for the world’s sins, it still respects him. I think that a black cross/crucifix would be different and interesting rather than the regular silver/gold ones.
